Post-Jam Bug Fixes
Humanity's Last Hope » Devlog
(Note: Since the Arcade Controls Jam is still running, the release of this update is postponed.)
Today I decided to start tackling some of the major bugs Humanity's Last Hope released with. As of today, the following fixes have been implemented:
- High scores are now visible on all screen sizes! (...hopefully :P)
- Staying out of bounds properly ends the run (was encountering an error with the life counter going below zero)
- Controller axes are fixed (previously could only move diagonally)
- Action button now reads input (main four buttons) from controller (slipped my mind since I don't have a controller for my Mac)
- High score lettering off-by-one-error fixed (previously started at B and skipped over Z)
- High score lettering can now be shifted up and down (not a bug but a smart piece of feedback I received)
- High score limit is now 1,000 times larger (not a bug but 6 digits of scoring seemed a little low :P)
Thank you to everyone helping me find these issues by providing their feedback!
I got lots of other feedback that I want to work on, but these were the major bugs I felt had higher priority :)
